Thanksgiving
November 21, 2018
I'm VERY thankful no one was hurt.
I'm thankful it was a doe, not a buck with antlers.
I'm thankful she didn't run head-on into the car, smashing through a window.
I'm thankful my husband was driving, so I'm not spending my waking hours second-guessing my reactions.
I'm thankful he was able to get us to the side of the road before the car died.
I'm thankful the State Police arrived in 15 minutes and the tow truck in 30, so we weren't standing on the side of the turnpike too long.
I'm thankful our deer collision was fairly minor, not one of the ones the Trooper described where the deer jumps off one of the bluffs near the road, landing on the car.
I'm thankful traffic was light enough that no other vehicles were involved.
I'm thankful for the Good Samaritan who pulled over and after seeing that we were okay, backed up to start picking up the detritus from the highway to protect others.
I know this is nothing like my usual blogs, but right now all I can think about is how very thankful I am. Most of all, I'm thankful for the innumerable blessings I have, especially my loving family and wonderful friends.
I hope you have much to be thankful for too.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
???
As soon as I saw it I wondered if the car was yours.
Thank God you and your husband were protected by invisible protection.
Something we all think about in these parts of the country when driving...
Being hit by a deer. And, something we should never leave home without--divine protection.
Happy Thanksgiving!
